Hocus Pocus (1993)

Note to self: Stay Body Positive

“Girls are trained to say, ‘I wrote this, but it’s probably really stupid.’ Well, no, you wouldn’t write a novel if you thought it was really stupid. Men are much more comfortable going, ‘I wrote this book because I have a unique perspective that the world needs to hear.’ Girls are taught from the age of seven that if you get a compliment, you don’t go, ‘Thank you’, you go, ‘No, you’re insane.’” — Lena Dunham (x)

Why I love her and why you should too.

I started Broad City today and I’m v sad because everyone loves it but I’m not down with the weed lol I just feel like it’s unnecessary and almost pandering especially since it’s on Comedy Central! It’s exactly like Kroll Show and Workaholics. Like omg, shocker, weed on CC!!! I don’t really get how people compare this to Girls?

I do like the characters and think they’re funny. And I don’t judge based solely on drug use. I just think it’s such an easy thing to do to try to reach a specific demographic. But it’s still funny and fairly realistic- to an extent.
